This is an internationally recognised symbol of protection of your recording.
The symbol refers to the owner of the copyright in the sound recording and is followed by the date of the recording or re-mastering.
The full notice consists of three elements in this order.
The symbol, The year date of first publication, The name of the first owner.
The example below shows the correct use of the symbol.

The C copyright symbol refers to the product package i.e. the compilation/ order of tracks; the artwork; text used etc. and is followed by the date this was first created, usually the same year as release.
Again the full notice consists of three elements in this order.
The symbol, The year date of first publication, The name of the first owner.
The example below shows the correct use of the symbol.
Do not combine the two notices as this may invalidate both notices, place both separately.
This is INCORRECT use of the symbols.
It is not an MCPS requirement that these symbols are used on your product however it is probably wise to use them if you have the space on your artwork to do so.
You can download a couple of fonts that will provide the P & C symbols for you from our fonts page. It's well worth a look and provides extra information concerning the use of fonts in your artwork.
