Screen Printing onto discs.

Screen Printing is the standard way in which we print directly on to the body of the disc. It will produce excellent results for solid colour although it is not suitable for printing high detail digital images, these would need to be Litho printed.

Any colours from the pantone solid coated library can be used, we would advise that you print on to a white base to give the pantone colour a solid look. Without a white base any white areas of your design will show as the reflective silver surface of the disc.

To ensure that print is sharp and clear all text must be vector based.
If you're supplying Image files based files for screen printing on the cd body please supply them as native psd (Photoshop) or Tiff un-flattened files which will allow us easy acces to the individual layers should we need to make any adjustments to fit our templates. Do not use Jpeg format.

Fonts. (The smallest font size allowed is 6pt.)

Along with your Image files you will also need to supply every font used in your design. Simply copy them from your systems fonts folder into the folder where you have stored all your artwork files and burn them to CD to send to us.
We may well already have the standard ones but it's best to send them all.

This is essential for us to be able to output your text as vector based which will ensure crisp printing of the text on the finished artwork.

Summary

You'll need to send us your artwork in your chosen format based on our print spec sizes available from here, CD on Body Spec.

You can supply as correctly prepared Press Ready PDF's, Quark Express or Adobe In Design, All the fonts used will need to be supplied.

You can also send us unflattened Photoshop Native psd files or tiff files, all the layers must be intact and available and all the fonts used must be provided.

You should also supply us with a guide layout print of the design.
